Adam Green gave the horror genre a much needed boost with the Hatchet films, and he and Joe Lynch have given fans an insight into the film industry with their weekly podcast, The Movie Crypt. Now, Green has created a genius new idea for fans of the genre to learn a new side of their favorite industry professionals with Adam Green’s Scary Sleepover.

In each episode, Adam will ask his guests one burning question, “what really scares you?”. Their answers will shock you, everything from rejection to family illness are horror’s biggest names’ boogeymen. Industry topics will also be covered, but don’t worry, it won’t be all serious in this short video form of The Movie Crypt

There are many more awesome names set to film. An episodic regular that will be joining Adam and his guests will be of course Adam’s adorable companion, Arwen, his Yorkie.

Review: The Movie Crypt

Fans of the popular FEARNET show Holliston starring Adam Green and Joe Lynch are familiar with their local cable show (on the show), The Movie Crypt. Adam and Joe have since made The Movie Crypt a reality.

url-51What is The Movie Crypt? It is a weekly podcast hosted by Adam Green, Joe Lynch and usually a special guest, and they discuss all manner of topics including, but not limited to, movies, film making and working in Hollywood. Past guests include Kane Hodder, Derek Mears, Oderus Urungus, Colton Dunn, Dee Snider, Corri English, Danielle Harris and many other great names.

Being a horror nerd and fan of Adam Green and Holliston, I was super excited to see The Movie Crypt become an actual podcast. I knew that there would obviously be film and industry talk as well JoeLynchHollisteras a bit of hilarity, but it is way better than I thought possible. Adam and Joe are not only comical in discussing whatever topic is on that day’s agenda, but the level of comedy that is thrown in makes The Movie Crypt quite possibly the best podcast ever.

The chemistry that Adam and Joe have together make this podcast even better. They compliment each other so well, they really are a more awesome version of Abbott and Costello. Don’t let all of the comedy fool you though, there has been a serious episode. Following the death of GWAR front man and good friend to Adam and Joe, Dave Brockie aka Oderus Urungus, they did a tribute episode to him. It will make you want to cry and laugh at the same time.

There has yet to be a bad episode of The Movie Crypt. I highly recommend it to any fan of Adam, Joe, Holliston and just horror fans in general. Not only is it awesome, but it’s FREE.

It airs Mondays at 10 am PST. Missed an episode or have yet to listen, don’t worry, all episodes are in a scroll bar at the bottom. You can find new and past episodes here.

To make sure that you stay up to date on The Movie Crypt, be sure to follow Adam, Joe and The Movie Crypt on twitter (if you’re not already, you can do so by clicking the names).
