The completed “The Slaughtered Lamb” pub sign by Jon Smith

The horror genre has some of the most dedicated fans, and from those true fans come some pretty amazing artwork paying tribute to their favorite films. Artist Jon Smith is a cut above with his tribute to 1981’s An American Werewolf In London with his version of the pub sign from the Slaughtered Lamb from the film.

These amazing signs are very limited, only 50 pieces available. Each sign is signed and numbered. Measuring a massive 17″x23″, they are screen printed on both sides using 6 colors including metallic gold and silver on half inch plywood. The Slaughtered Lamb signs are quite the labor of love. Jon drilled, carved and sanded each piece with his own hands. Fans of the film may notice a pretty big difference between the signs Jon made and the sign used in the film. Jon got super creative and changed the generic wolf head used on the sign in the film to a werewolf head matching that of the werewolf in the film. The signs are $100 a piece, which is not too shabby for such an impressive piece of horror artwork. It’s not just a print, in is an actual wooden pub sign.
