Sons of Anarchy season 6 is really heating up with the second episode of the season. I promise not to give too much away for those of you that have yet to see this episode or the previous one.
One One Six was without a doubt was a very explosive episode. In this episode, Lee Toric (Donal Logue) continues to gun for SAMCRO and its affiliated parties. There was more brought to light on the school shooting and the boy that committed the crime. There was also a lot of confusion. Will Bobby return to SAMCRO, what is next for Jax and Tara and what is Clay going to do?
Sons of Anarchy is well known for the number of incredible guest appearances. In last night’s episode, Steve Howey, best known for his roles as Van Montgomery on the popular show Reba and Stan Helsing in the campy horror comedy, Stan Helsing. He was a great addition to the episode as a fellow SOA brother named Hopper.
Jax also has a very important meeting with some familiar faces in his quest to earn more legit for his club. The meeting does not quite pan out the way that Jax was hoping, but there was an agreement made that is a step in the right direction for SAMCRO’s venture to earn legit.
With Lee Toric pressing to pin the school shooting on SAMCRO, trying to get Clay to rat and trying to make Tara suffer for his sister’s death, where will he draw the line? Toric made a stop towards the end of the episode at a place that is very close to Jax and Nero.
There were a couple of deaths in this episode, but I will not say who. The only spoiler I will give you is that they were close to one of the main characters, but were not what one would consider a major blow to the show’s cast.
One One Six was a definite thinker. If you do not pay attention, you will get confused and you will miss some very important information about a couple main characters. I personally love this episode and can not wait to see where Kurt Sutter will take this season of Sons of Anarchy.
The long awaited season 6 of the hit FX show Sons of Anarchy premiered last night. Many of the critics were talking for weeks before the show’s return about how shocking the premier episode was going to be, and that it was.
Season 6 picks up 2-3 weeks after where season 5 left off. We see the return of our favorite key characters and a few other familiar faces as well as some of the characters that were just coming into play last season like Donal Logue as Lee Toric and Jimmy Smits as Nero Padilla. Like every season, we meet a couple new players, a male and a female, I won’t go too far into them because I don’t want to spoil it for those that have not seen it yet. I will say that both new comers present new opportunities for SAMCRO and Deosa. Jax is looking to attempt legit business for SAMCRO, but will he pull it off this season or will problems arise?
There have been some changes at the table, a new VP and a new Sargent at Arms, which becomes obvious in the opening sequence of the episode. As we all know Tara and Clay spend the opening episode in prison, where I’m sure at least Clay will be for the majority of the season. Lee Toric of course tries to work on them to get what he wants like last season. A bit more light is also shed on how Tara ended up in prison. Everyone’s favorite loose cannon Tig has a couple very “Tig” moments. A key member of the group is also trying to make a break from Charming and a couple of others hash out a couple of problems with one another.
Perhaps the most shocking part of this episode was the last 15 to 20 minutes. The ending to this episode could possibly be the most shocking, hard to watch ending in Sons of Anarchy history.
I think season 6 is shaping up to be one of the most must watch seasons. If the rest of the season is going to be anything like the premier, it is going to be the best yet. Kurt Sutter has really pulled out all the stops for season 6.
This is not a horror related article, but Sons of Anarchy is one of my favorite shows. Creator Kurt Sutter has issued a challenge to fans of SOA to make season 6 the most memorable one yet. Fans of Sons of Anarchy are some of the most loyal fans a show could ever ask for, so I know it will not be difficult to set record numbers for the premier of season 6.
Here is what Kurt had to say via his Who Say page:
If we increase our SONS OF ANARCHY season 6 premier numbers by any percentage in the key demos, myself and some unwilling cast member will show up to your house or favorite bar/club/cave and watch the finale with you, your friends and family. Even if you don’t want us to come. We will be there, baring gifts and good cheer. *
We’re hoping that the whole event will be taped and become bonus material for the season 6 DVD.
SOA SEASON 6
10 PM ON FX
It promises to be the most memorable season premier to date.
Please join us and spread the word.
* sorry, international SOA fans, we love you, but this challenge is for residents of USA only.
The Sons of Anarchy premier is always the highlight of my Septembers. I know many of my friends feel the same. Let’s help Mr. Sutter and the rest of the SOA crew make season 6 the biggest yet!
Here is the teaser trailer for what is sure to be another incredible season of the FX hit show:
